Reporting to the Manager of Cabin Programmes, the Aircraft Interiors Specialist will manage all the aspect of cabin related projects for both new and existing fleet. Cabin Projects include the management of the definition of the new economy, premium economy and business class and the retrofit of existing aircraft to align them to the new company standards.
Management of technical data related to Aircraft Interiors ATA Systems(AMM’s, CMM’s, IPC’s drawings…).
Evaluation of Airworthiness Directives(AD’s) related to Aircraft Interiors ATA systems.
Management of Aircraft interiors service bulletins(SB’s, VSB.s), engineering orders(EO’s) and Work Packages(WP,s).
Drafting of technical specifications and scope of Requirements(SoR’s) for the development of cabin programmes.
Definition of cabin projects, management of project timelines and attendance to the program milestones.
Resolution of discrepancies in project definition.
Analysis and drafting of programme risks and mitigation activities(HIRA).
Engagement with Part 21J Organisations and cabin suppliers for technical and commercial aspects of cabin programmes, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements.
Contract management of part 21 services and BFE equipment (21J and 21G) and assist in the preparation of documentaries for Supplemental Type Certificates(STCs) and design changes for cabin interiors.
Bill of Materials (BoM) management and traceability.
Ensure Cabin modifications, repairs, and changes are properly certified and alignes with both EASA Part 21 and Part CAMO regulations.
Participate in manufacturers shop visits and article inspections.
Work & collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within Aer Lingus and IAG to manage the lifecycle of cabin components and systems and to select cabin equipment for the fleet.
More than 5 years of technical experience.
Engineering university degree(NFQ level 8 or equivalent).
Experience working with DOA part 21J organisation and understanding of certification basis.
Awareness of EASA Part 21 Subpart J design processes and the interface with airworthiness requirements for aircraft interiors.
Knowledge of PMA granting processes.
Understanding of part 21G and part 145 scope and definition.
Experience working with cabin retrofits(seats, IFE, emergency equipment, etc.) desirable if working directly in an OEM.
Experience drafting technical specifications.
Ability to manage multiple cabin-related programmes, ensuring compliance with schedules and safety standards.
Desirable experience working with AMOS.
Proven Analytical Skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Eligible to live and work in the EU.
Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
Provide 3 verifiable references.
Full unrestricted driving licence.
Able to pass a 5-year enhanced security background check.
