Job Description:

The Fuel Management Analyst is part of the Fuel Automation & System Support (FASS) Team that supports fuel teams (fuel operations, fuel supply, and fuel auditors) and groups that interact with the Allegro software. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing the Fuel Management Technology platform by collaborating with the Fuel Strategy & Management team and stakeholders. They’ll provide incident support, use data analytics tools to create reports, and documents system requirements. Additionally, the Fuel Management Analystfacilitates business case development, manages system changes, and serves as a liaison between business users and technology teams, ensuring seamless implementation and continuous improvement of fuel management processes. This position is strategic, detail-oriented, and eager to join a dynamic team that drives the future of Southwest.

Responsibilities
Provide timely support for product- related incidents or service requests related to production issues, defects, batch job requests, research, and security requests
Use data analytics and visualization tools (i.e. Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI or similar) to create workflows, dashboards, analysis and reports to assist internal Customers
Work with Technology to document requirements for system interfaces (inbound and outbound), including data mapping, functional specifications, test plans, and error handling procedures
Maintain an understanding of how business processes may be enhanced by the optimization of fuel management technology and/or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies through continuous learning, participation in user forums, and “best practice” research
Educate internal Customers in core business process improvement processes, including, when appropriate, how technology can be leveraged to improve business process efficiency and integrity
Assist the development of business cases to help prioritize opportunities and develop improvement projects
Facilitate discussions with various Internal Customers to facilitate business case development
Participate heavily in system development/configuration, data conversion, testing, and implementation of system changes and maintain associated documentation
Serve as liaison between business users, external process Stakeholders, and Technology support Assist Technology and other internal stakeholders with creating test data, testing interfaces, defect resolution, and ongoing production support of product interfaces

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of refined products, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
Knowledge of fuel value chain principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road preferred but not required
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer Satisfaction
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM), Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, Cloud, or similar tools
Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organization’s strategic plan through KPI reporting
Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Demonstrates a strong ability to conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying issues effectively, from deal entry to invoice resolution
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot data to form best practices or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
Experience
Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
Experience in the Energy/Supply Value Chain, in the use and support of Commodities Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems, in Financial Planning & Analysis, and/or in data analytics and visualization.
Preferred: Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Oracle, and Allegro
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information.
Ability to work extended hours as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays
Possible air travel with over night stays required
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from$76,500.00 to $85,000.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement. For eligible leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
