Construction EstimatorJohnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Construction Estimator for our client in the Indianapolis, IN area. The Construction Estimator will conceptualize, prepare, and deliver pricing proposals to sales and/or customers as it relates to the design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction of architectural and commercial stainless steel, aluminum, and glass railings, and corresponding installation packages.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience estimating from conceptual, schematic and design development drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field.
- Estimating experience in construction, construction materials or custom manufacturing.
- Experience working with take-offs, bid documents, scope sheets.
- Expertise reading and interpreting contracts, drawings, and specifications.
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience with take-off software a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and/or projects concurrently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong math, technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
- Must have experience with sales and possess strong customer facing capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of the design/build process.
- Must be collaborative with the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must have excellent overall computer and information technology skills.
- Strong logical decision-making ability.
- Capacity to handle pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
