Job Summary
The Head of Procurement Excellence has the overall responsibility for managing procurement governance and data management, also to develop and foster adaptation of procurement related processes and policies across the regional and global organization, such as the procurement policy, standard sourcing processes, supplier risk management processes, supply chain activities related to ESG, supplier registration processes in addition to ensuring the procurement organization has access to relevant spend data.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead activities related to procurement processes, tools, and systems to facilitate efficient category and spend management, development of source to pay platform.
- Manage procurement governance, support the global Head of Procurement in developing the corporate procurement related policies and processes. Monitor compliance with corporate procurement processes and support the Swissport procurement teams in adaptation of those.
- Develop efficient global vendor qualification and selection processes through global S2C platform, support in development of P2P processes.
- Responsible for training procurement organisation on any new procedures as well as ensuring relevant stakeholders across the organisation are aware of procurement processes.
- Managing internal and external audit / compliance requests, support the organisation in resolution of procurement related audit findings.
- Organise procurement governance meetings and support the global Head of Procurement in following up with category managers on agreed project executions, on delivery of saving targets.
- Ensure efficiency of the procurement organisation, track project execution progress and report status to Global Head of Procurement.
- Manage supplier risk, enhance the risk assessment model and run risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with local and global procurement teams in their execution of corporate projects (annual budget preparation, sustainability initiatives… etc.).
- Collaborate with global ESG teams in order to develop and implement procurement processes to fulfil the supplier sustainability and diversity objectives of Swissport.
Qualifications and Competencies
- +5 years of experience in corporate governance and project management roles
- Advisable familiarity with ISO standards to maintain compliance and improving procurement operation
- Knowledge of procurement organization and processes in a global corporate environment
- Exceptional organization and communication skills in a multinational environment
- Experience with developing and setting up efficient training programs
- Strong analytical skills and advanced technical skills in MS Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively meeting demanding deadlines
- High-energy with a proactive approach; willingness to be hands-on and dig into the details
- Aviation related background and experience with a S2C system are advantages
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish languages
