Strategy Associate Director - Hospitality Business Unit
Summary Of The Role
You will define and refine our unit’s
operating model, focusing on the
customer and product lifecycle. Your role ensures alignment with long-term strategic objectives and oversees smooth implementation across the unit. By encouraging continuous improvement and engaging with key stakeholders, you will enhance efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the organization’s long-term strategic goals.
In this role you’ll
- Manage Hospitality Organizational Strategy
- Establish a clear and effective operating model that outlines how the unit will function, including processes, roles, responsibilities, and governance structures. This model should align with the overall strategic vision of the organization and top management.
- Review existing business lines (governance model, processes efficiency, structure, interfaces…) and recommend improvements.
- Identify operating model changes to enable the business strategy with a focus on harmonization and standardization.
- Provide a comprehensive assessment for the top management, considering the fit with Hospitality strategy at unit and business line level, the potential impact on our P&L, and the level of risks (HR, costs, customer impact…).
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by regularly assessing the effectiveness of the operating model and making adjustments as necessary.
- Utilize data and feedback to refine processes and enhance overall performance.
- Support to Implementation
- Define transition plans related to operating model changes and their implementation.
- Work closely with the business owners, PCCB, and Finance to define the right strategy to reach the target model.
- Support business owners by providing content, methodology, and tools to unlock operational issues and ensure a smooth implementation of the model, preserving business continuity while evolving the organization.
- Lead Special Projects / Ad-hoc Studies
- Lead special strategic projects and initiatives, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
- Lead Teams
- In a flat project-based structure, you may temporarily manage teams (Senior Managers, Managers, and Analysts), overseeing and driving overall team output.
- Provide feedback to develop team members, ensuring quality and applicability of the deliverables, and create value and impact for Amadeus.
About The Ideal Candidate
- Education: BSc in Business Management or Engineering. Further related qualifications beneficial (MBA, Innovation / Executive Education).
- Experience: Consultancy on strategy, or in-house Corporate Strategy in a leading Technology firm. Operational experience in product/commercial execution roles is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Hospitality industry, including customer landscape, competition, and portfolio, is desirable.
- Strong influencing and problem-solving skills, business understanding, and a positive attitude.
- Amadeus Knowledge: Familiarity with Amadeus Corporate Setup and Strategy Management is beneficial.
