Role Introduction
Reports to: DGT & IT Governance Resourcing Manager / Senior Planning Analyst
This role is responsible for contributing strategically and operationally to the achievement of Information Technology’s business objectives by delivering project management services across Cathay Pacific IT Operation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates activities of IT Operation projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
- Assist in preparation of overall project portfolio reports
- Monitor and keep track of Project/ Programme expenditures
- Responsible for creating and managing Purchase Orders (PO) for goods and services utilizing one of the four purchasing channels defined in SAP
- Support the team to provide department and project investment financial budget and forecast
- Work with both internal and external resources to design, build IT Operation platform and services and implement them to production on time, within budget and with good quality
- Cross-teams ad cross-department collaboration to drive technology innovation to achieve CPA's strategic plan and business objectives
- Collaborate with Project Management Practice Manager to implement project management practice across all IT projects
- Adopt best practices, processes and methodologies of project management and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with Enterprise Testing team to define the quality assurance test plans that meet the company practices and standards.
- Attention to detail, and ability to organise and prioritize workload.
- Communicate and escalate risks and issues clearly and concisely and to support management with the preparation of action plans.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience are essential
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience with at least 1 years in project management / coordination role
- Proven experience in coordinating project tasks with ability to multitask
- Knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, change management, infrastructure development management, vendor management, financial management
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, automation, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that gains understanding
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good experiences in SAP PS / PTP / Asset Management modules
- Good experiences in managing Purchase orders/Invoices/Contracts
