Turbine Engine Technician
Job Description
Working in a bench repair and testing environment in the Turbine Engine shop overhauling helicopter engines, the Technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. The Technician will read and interpret maintenance manuals, clean and inspect engines, engine components, and component parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. They will replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment. The Technician will reassemble, perform tests and/or checks as required to confirm engine or engine component serviceability, and document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
- Clean and inspect engines, engine components, and component parts for damage and wear.
- Replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Reassemble and perform tests and/or checks as required to confirm engine or engine component serviceability.

Essential Skills
- Experience in turbine engine maintenance on any helicopter type.
- 4+ years of total experience.
- Proficiency in using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals.
- A&P license.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in aircraft engine maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred (Army MOS 15B).
- US Person per client ITAR regulation (US Birth Certificate or US Passport).

Work Environment
Component division of MRO facility, working in the Accessory shop area with repair and test benches. Initial schedule of 5 days a week (8am - 4:30pm) for several weeks, then transitioning to a 4-day schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.
