Job Description Summary
The Operations Supervisor – Facilities Preventative Maintenance role will manage the work of hourly employees and contracted services in execution of preventative maintenance work scope at the GE Aerospace Niskayuna New York Research Center. Preventative maintenance asset management system use along with effective resource utilization will ensure work orders are completed by staff to plan. This role will include direction of unionized hourly skilled trades including, but not limited to: Service Equipment Operators, Machine Repair, Electricians, Steamfitter/plumber, Millwright, etc. Contracted services can include HVAC Systems, industrial equipment manufacturers, construction services providers, etc. The successful candidate will make business critical decisions in a timely manner while meeting safety, quality, and delivery metrics within the Facilities Organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Lead execution of & development of Facilities Organization preventative maintenance procedures for the site.
- Direct the activities of an hourly team within the Facilities Organization including work priorities, development planning, operator training, etc.
- Drive a culture in the Facilities Organization where safety is the top priority.
- Collaborate with partner teams to ensure spares inventory is in place and on time for service work orders. Drive effectiveness & improvements across the workorder process.
- Achieve the highest levels of internal and external customer service. Provide timely and corrective feedback for quality issues.
- Troubleshoot mechanical & electrical systems, equipment, and continually improve service procedures.
- Lead and drive successful equipment installations and commissioning, repairs, improvements, and shutdowns.
- Team with contract engineers and outside engineering/architectural consultants to put together design specifications and drawings for construction packages.
- Identify and execute approved projects to improve facilities process quality, cost, and cycle improvements.
- Apply lean methods to reduce waste throughout the Facilities operation.
- Analyze metrics to optimize staff utilization, set space requirements, improve workflow, and layout equipment to achieve maximum operational performance, quality, and reliability.
- Design, procure and implement tooling and fixturing to support emergent concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Manufacturing or Facilities Operations)
- Must be willing to work on site at our facility in Niskayuna, New York
- Must be 18 years or older.

Desired Characteristics
- 10 years of experience in Facilities Maintenance.
- Maximo or equivalent asset management software experience.
- Microsoft and AutoCAD proficient.
- Working knowledge of NFPA, OSHA and New York State Building Code.
- Ability to manage multiple diverse activities simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong project and team leadership.
- HAP or other HVAC load calculation software proficiency.
- Honeywell and Automate Logic Experience.
- Experience directing a represented workforce.
- PLC and VFD experience.
The base pay range for this position is $93,800 - $156,400 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on December 1, 2024
