**This position is contingent upon award of the Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Services in support of Presidential Helicopter contract.**
Job Description:
The Engineering Technician performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Applies engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate or operate electrical, electronics, avionics, mechanical, communications or related data processing systems for military rotary wing aircraft or associated support equipment and facilities.
- Provides support for maintenance, repair, inspection and troubleshooting of system equipment or components.
- Organizes, analyzes and prepares reports and presentations of technical data.
- Plans and performs tests and evaluations of system equipment or components.
- Compiles, processes, and analyzes test data and results.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Yankee White Clearance
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- High School Diploma or GED. Also requires successful completion of a technical school, trade school, advanced armed services technical training curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or successful completion of at least 15 semester hours of course studies in an engineering, scientific or technical curriculum.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the area of aircraft and weapon systems, hardware, instrumentation or software development.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $48,500 - $90,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
