Assistant Fleet Engineer – Airframe Systems (12 Month FTC)
The Assistant Fleet Engineer – Airframe Systems, reporting to the Engineering Manager and Airframe Team Leader, offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to contribute to the success and growth of easyJet Engineering while expanding their expertise. This role involves cross-functional collaboration within Fleet Technical Management, ensuring alignment with company operating policies. You will build strong working relationships with Fleet Engineers across Airframe Systems, Avionics, Technical Library, Components, Maintenance Programmes, and Reliability, as well as liaising with system and equipment manufacturers to uphold continued airworthiness and enhance aircraft availability and reliability. Key responsibilities include supporting easyJet’s compliance with EASA Part M and CAMO continuous airworthiness obligations, focusing on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will ensure accurate maintenance and filing of technical documentation critical for the fleet's continued airworthiness.
What You’ll Be Doing
The role involves ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and efficient operation of the easyJet fleet, with responsibilities including the comprehensive assessment of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Vendor Bulletins, and other technical documentation for aircraft systems and components, particularly during fleet transitions. Key tasks include producing Engineering Orders, conducting aircraft specification reviews, supporting records analysis, coordinating component and modification data, and liaising with lessors and manufacturers to ensure continued airworthiness. You will assist with modification programmes, software updates, MOR/ASR investigations, and develop processes to support EASA Part M/CAMO compliance. Additional responsibilities include managing reliability programme outputs, monitoring system sampling, supporting fleet projects, and aiding in maintenance programme development.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised degree in Aircraft Engineering or Aeronautical disciplines, or an EASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence, with experience in a Part M/CAMO office environment. They will have knowledge of EASA regulations, airworthiness requirements, and aircraft take-on, end-of-lease, and registration processes, ideally with expertise in Airbus Single Aisle and Airframe systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AMOS, or similar Maintenance Control Systems is essential, alongside a passion for continuous improvement, adaptability, and a motivated approach to tackling challenges.

Location & Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week.
