Johnson Service Group is looking for a Lab Technician for one of our Clients in San Jose. Ensuring laboratory safety through regular inspections, supporting quality assurance with document management and related tasks, assisting in general chemistry and microbiology analyses, and managing reagent preparation, storage, and hazardous waste handling.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Laboratory Safety Inspections
- Assist with document management and other quality assurance related tasks
- Assist with variety of general chemistry and/or microbiology analyses
- Assist with reagent preparation, storage, and hazardous waste handling
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of applications, advanced-level knowledge of Excel and Word preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory operations, instruments, quality control, and health and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of general chemistry/microbiology testing techniques and chemical handling
Requirements:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Two (2) years of chemical, biological, or bacteriological laboratory experience.
- Substitution: Twelve (12) semester units of college level course work in physical, natural, or earth sciences may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Valid California driver’s license.
Rate starting at $34.08 DOE - Part- time 20 hours per week
