Jet2holidays as a Social Media Executive. This role will support the daily operation of
Jet2's social media channels, playing a vital part in promoting our
Jet2holidays brand and its sub-brands across multiple social media platforms. Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, the
Social Media Executive is an exciting role in our high-profile social media team. You’ll work closely with the wider marketing team to develop and deliver effective, engaging content that brings our brand values to life and connects with our audiences.
This role is a 12 Month Full-Time Contract – Maternity Cover.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Social Media Account Management: Monitor and manage social media accounts, ensuring profiles across platforms remain up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with brand messaging.
- Content Creation & Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop engaging, creative content plans that reflect Jet2’s values and drive high engagement on social media channels.
- Visual Asset Production: Create native, social-first visual assets (photos, videos) that align with our brand guidelines, showcasing the Jet2holidays experience.
- Content Scheduling: Schedule content using our scheduling tool, Sprinklr, within agreed timelines and budget approvals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to campaign goals.
- Community Management Support: Assist with community engagement on an as-needed basis, helping to monitor conversations and flag any potential escalations to the team.
- Campaign Support: Assist in delivering key marketing and advertising campaigns, working closely with brand social teams to amplify Jet2’s presence.
- Influencer Campaigns: Support the team with influencer campaigns, including collaborating with influencers and agents to negotiate terms.
- Paid Social Collaboration: Work alongside paid advertising teams to build strategic advertising plans that support organic social activity collaboratively.
- Campaign Tracking & Reporting: Tag campaigns appropriately for tracking, monitor engagement metrics, and compile monthly reports to analyse performance and inform future content strategies.
- Growth Exploration: Research new opportunities to grow Jet2’s social presence across emerging platforms and trends.
What You’ll Have
- Creative Campaign Planning: Proven experience in creative content and campaign planning, with an ability to produce engaging social media assets.
- Social Media Proficiency: Skilled in using a range of social media platforms.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail in brand voice and tone.
- Self-Starter: Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks effectively while engaging with key stakeholders.
- Desirable Skills: Knowledge of advertising campaigns in the travel industry; Spanish language skills are a plus but not essential.
