For our office in Grace-Hollogne (Liège), Belgium, we are looking for:
Procurement and logistics operations Manager m/w/x (Fulltime)
As Procurement and logistics operations Manager leads the Purchasing department ensuring maximum revenue and customer satisfaction. You are also responsible for the whole logistics workflow within Rolls-Royce Solutions Liège. As a leader, you effectively lead, support and develop your team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to the organizations’ success.
Key Tasks
- Ensure that the item data and purchase prices are checked annually.
- Secure that inventory levels are maintained at optimum value.
- Purchase trade goods and services.
- Hold talks with (potential) suppliers and negotiate with them.
- Make certain that suppliers audit’s are held regularly.
- Guarantee timely availability of materials, parts and services.
- Play an important role in ensuring that warehousing, shipments and packaging activities can take place in a complete and timely manner.
- Optimize logistics operations and maintain cost-effective logistic processes.
- Lead a team of 10 employees and create a positive work environment so they can be at their best.
- Apply the strategic vision of the company and translate it into concrete measures.
- Encourage continuous improvement mindset within the team and train/inform them about new initiatives within the work area.
- Develop and maintain KPI’s, reports and process documentation.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive compliancy with safety regulations and requirements within area of responsibilities and act as role model at company level. Identify risks, analyze root causes and share initiatives of improvements within work area’s.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master Degree (HBO) or equivalent, in a commercial, economics or purchasing direction.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a leading role.
- Commercial techniques, purchasing and logistical knowledge.
- Fluent in English and French.
