The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Valuation Consultant is responsible forthe analysis of processes and business functions to define value, understand key metrics, and improve decision-making associated with the financial performance of AI and digital solutions at Southwest.They’ll play a critical role in defining and measuring the value of our initiatives and will apply critical thinking and quantitative analysis to refine the financial impact of our work from high-level economic assessments to detailed business cases and tracking performance. The AI Valuation Consultant is a detail-orientated thinker who is ready to drive the future of the AI Strategy and Design Team.
This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location, away from our Corporate Campus. Please note, while this is a remote position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Those ineligible locations are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming, and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders from across the organization to define business cases, align value targets, set performance benchmarks, and translate outcomes into measurable business value
- Analyze operational data and business processes to define and track efficiencies, performance metrics, value streams, and opportunity areas
- Build robust financial models to quantify the business impact and ROI of AI-driven solutions, including forecasts and cost-benefit assessments
- Participate in primary research and process observation in a field or workshop setting
- Perform analogous, secondary, and market trend research to uncover supporting context for challenge areas and set benchmarks
- Synthesize and analyze findings for patterns to develop actionable insights into outputs such as data visualizations, financial models, and process maps
- Support the development of design requirements and KPIs to enable the capture of financial value in artificial intelligence products
- Conduct evaluation of concepts and prototypes to support iteration, improvement, and value capture
- Identify and understand the dependencies and impacts of projects to the greater Company business or operation
- Collaborate in a team-based environment with leads from multi-disciplinary business units such as Technology or Facilities, and work closely day-to-day with Experience Designers, AI Strategy Consultants, and Artificial Intelligence Delivery teams to guide products toward outcomes that align with business goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles and practices and how to utilize them, and the analysis and reporting of complex financial data
- Skilled in financial modeling tools
- Skilled at gathering new data and analyzing new and existing datasets to generate insights and a compelling story
- Experienced in a range of quantitative research approaches, including the ability to translate observations of operational processes into quantitative metrics and process maps
- Skilled at synthesizing and interpreting complex datasets into actionable business insights, particularly in concert with qualitative inputs
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with Customers and diverse levels of Employees, with an emphasis on clearly communicating complex information to create alignment
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Financial analysis
- Process mapping
- Business strategy
- Communication
- Synthesizing analyses to pull out insights
- Excel
- Preferred: Experience in performing financial modeling and analysis, data analytics, statistical analysis, and establishing KPIs
- Preferred: Experience in Excel (Vlookup, PivotTables, Scenario Analysis, etc.)
- Preferred: Experience in data visualization in PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed for projects
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $95,750 per year to $106,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
