Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking a Digital Engineering (DE) ECAD Tools Project Lead. The DE ECAD Tools Project Lead will oversee tools configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across the Electrical Engineering organization. The successful candidate will work closely with functional Hardware Engineering Leadership, EIT tools administrators, and coordinate support tool adoption with End-Users.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the Project Manager for the Electronic Design Management (EDM) suite of tools, planning and executing activities to roll out the Siemens tools suite.
- The suite of tools to manage includes Siemens EDM ECAD tools such as EDM Cockpit, Library Xpedition, Valydate, Valor, Hyperlynx, etc., in addition to downstream Blueprint software, legacy Cadence Allegro, and others.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and process improvement goals.
- Serve as the liaison between the enterprise EDM Initiative Team and the functional Hardware (HW) Organization.
- Collaborate with the EIT Electrical Engineering Application Team and own the Engineering Database Management (EDM) system. Drive the EDM configuration and manage data reports in Power BI.
- Manage EDM data integrity. Candidates with experience in EIT solutions of infrastructure data flow are preferred.
- Serve as the ECAD tool vendor manager, attend weekly meetings, manage on-site visits, and facilitate support to end-users.
- Facilitate the overall operation and performance of a project team that will implement Team Center connection to the ECAD EDM flow.
- Handle overall communications related to project via creation and maintenance of issue logs, metrics, and the associated Sharepoint page, creation of weekly/monthly reports and presentations for leadership and end users as well as creation of professional communication bulletins
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
- At least 4 years of experience in engineering design development using ECAD tools
- At least 4 years of experience using Oracle Agile PLM or similar PLM software
- Experience with Electrical Engineering data models and data artifacts used in PLM software
- Working knowledge of ECAD libraries and process for creating new electrical components for corporate library
- Experience with communicating and coordinating on project work across various discipline teams
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Current TS/SCI clearance
- Working Knowledge of Siemens CAD Tools
- Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter PLM
- Understanding of interface between Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering in PCB circuit design
- Experience Managing EIT Engineering Application Tool Projects
- Creative and adaptable thinking and problem-solving abilities
