Job Summary: The Facilities Coordinator organizes and facilitates the day to day maintenance & contractor activities to ensure safe and efficient operations with minimal interruptions to manufacturing. Essential Functions: Coordinate processing of maintenance tasks and work orders and external vendor/contractor resources to effectively optimize overall maintenance performance and costs Work with leadership improve work order processing and task scheduling Ensure assignments are performed on time to quality standards Provide hands-on labor in specialized skills as needed and in the absence of others Contribute to engineering planning meetings Provide estimates and contribute to department budget meetings Contribute to work order system management Estimate and manage projects including time and materials Provide leadership supporting facilities and maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance coordinator, lead, or supervisor. Provide evaluation and feedback of equipment preventive, predictive, or condition based maintenance programs results to improve reliability Maintain accurate records in computer maintenance management software by documenting activities and results contributing to future evaluation and improvement opportunities Follow directions & work schedules according to the assigned maintenance coordinator, lead, or supervisor and the work order processing system Any other task assigned by supervisor or management Non-Essential Functions: Participate in hazardous materials and first responder team (HAZMAT; training provided) Maintain clean and organized work space and equipment Additional tasks may include but not limited to process improvement activities, small tool maintenance and repairs, team projects Requisition and purchase required materials, specify, procure, & maintain minimum stock inventory, and process purchase transactions. Support other team members in their primary job functions, cross training, and employee growth strategies. Support team activities & improvement efforts in Kaizen, 5s, maintenance, & facilities events & practices. Perform miscellaneous activities including security badge processing, personnel office moves, etc. Support team members including hands-on training, design drawing reviews, technical tool use and team projects. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing at an expert or journeyman level in at least two industrial craft skills. Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of the services and equipment in his or her charge; General or journeyman knowledge in most maintenance trades Skill: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, problem solving, & organizational skills; Works well with a multi-skilled work force and management teams in a dynamic environment; Safe operation of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools, basic computer, and math; Communication skills and tact are required to maintain a productive and collaborative environment. Ability: Efficient distribution of daily labor based on priority and management’s direction ensuring equipment reliability and excellent customer service Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Preferred Qualifications: AA or BA Degree in a technical field is desired Working Conditions: Typical manufacturing or industrial environments indoor, outdoor, and rooftop year round Indoor work may be in a noisy shop environment with various tools operating at any given time (Proper hearing protection required).
