Job Summary: The Data Engineer III will be responsible for supporting and enhancing existing Data Analytic Platform solutions using Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion cloud & Microsoft Azure. The Data Engineer III will partner with senior team members and business teams to identify data integration opportunities, define functional and non-functional requirements, develop data workflows and processes to deliver analytic solutions. The Data Engineer III will be responsible for querying and extracting data from Oracle EBS applications, Oracle Fusion Applications, updating existing data warehouse solutions, as well as creating new modern enterprise data platforms. Crane is looking for candidates who have demonstrated experience of building dimensional data warehouses based on multiple data sources using reporting tools such as: Power BI, Tableau, Qlik. Hands on experience developing data solutions using Jupiter Notebooks. Strong knowledge of a variety of techniques to provide actionable insights while familiar with manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates with an ambiguous mindset who thrive on team collaboration to better understand data and business obstacles. Essential Functions: Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to perform Data Analysis and Data Modeling. Extract relevant data form ERP systems such as Oracle EBS. Implement knowledge of extracting data from various data sources; perform exploratory data analysis, cleanse, massage, and aggregate data to develop end to end data and analytics solutions. Data Lake development using Azure services related to data and analytics. Understand user requirements for how data is used to make decisions. Includes process mapping, optimization, and technology enablement. Implement best practices in delivering data and reporting solutions. Implement solutions using Machine Learning and AI tools. Use scripting languages such as Python/R/Scala. Maintain/Update existing data platform solutions and data models created using Azure platform/Power BI. Build Data Integrations to provide quality data. Build KPIs and metrics to support business. Help support day to day activities of the Analytics team; this may include creating knowledge base articles, updates to platform manuals and documentation, best practices and guidance, and diagnostics of issues that are raised as well as promoting and advocating for the value of advanced modeling techniques. Participate in demos and user acceptance reviews while working with the technical team on the creation of design documents and artifacts. Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver new, innovative solutions to Crane Aerospace & Electronics users. Desire to learn new areas and tools required to enable BI solutions. Minimum Qualifications: Familiarity with ERP system, preferably Oracle EBS, SQL Programming, PL/SQL Sound Knowledge of Relational Databases, dimensional data warehouse, ETL processes. Sound Knowledge of Cloud services such as Azure/AWS/GCP/OIC. 7-8 years of demonstrated experience delivering multiple data solutions such as Data Warehouses and dimensional models with focus on ETL development. 4+ years of experience building reports, and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QLIK. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on analysis and resolution of complex functional areas and technical issues across teams. Python, Py-Spark or similar scripting languages. Education: Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other quantitative fields Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Familiarity with custom development, open-source products implementation, systems integration Working Conditions: Standard office environment.
