Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Flight operations entail the pilot resources, flight planning, flight competence optimization, coordination of and compliance to regulations as well as operational maintenance and ground operations. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes. We are now looking for a committed and highly motivated NDT INSPECTOR to coordinate, prepare and perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections, manage inspection tooling and develop processes in one’s own area. NDT inspector carries out inspections in the Wheels and Brakes repair shop as well as in the aircraft maintenance hangars to the aircrafts, maintains compliance with regulations and standards, and contributes to the overall quality and safety of aircraft components. Methods in use are (MT, PT, ET, UT and RT). The job includes interpretation of results to identify indications, defects, or discontinuities in the inspected components, as well as documenting inspection procedures, parameters and findings accurately and thoroughly. The role includes tasks that support component maintenance production. Work is performed mainly in the Helsinki-Vantaa airport area. Work may include working in customer premises or occasionally (but rarely) abroad. To this position, CLA for Finnair Technical White-collar workers is applied and the work is performed in shifts. Main responsibilities: Coordinate, prepare and perform NDT Level II inspections Work together with maintenance team to enable smooth progress Prepare inspection reports and maintain maintenance documentation Issue certificates of release to service as specified in their authorization certificate Manage inspection tooling and upkeep clean and safe working environment Provide technical expertise for job preparation together with Level III inspector Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns related to NDT inspection activities Our expectations: Previous experience working as an NDT inspector NDT qualification En 4179/NAS 410 or experience from relevant field (aircraft mechanics/engineering) is considered as an advantage Good communication & coordination & prioritization skills Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English.
