Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. Our exceptional team is dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.
Under the direction of the Director of Inflight Training Standards and Training, responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of all flight attendant training programs. Ensures appropriately trained Inflight crew members are available to meet the needs of the company; collects, organizes, and enters training records. Monitors performance levels of initial trainees and determines successful completion of the program. Manages the Air Transportation Supervisor program (ATS) regarding qualifications, selection, training and observation.
Job Functions
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Oversees and assists with the development, maintenance, and implementation of all inflight training programs with an emphasis on the initial and recurrent programs, including Transition and Differences training, First Aid/CPR/AED, CRM, Security, ATS, flying partner specific, and any special one-time only requirements.
- Develops and maintains computer-based training for the designated training courses, completes training records on the classroom level and CrewQual records.
- Oversees, administers, and communicates the training products and training schedules, including new hire pre-packets, assignments, recurrent training scheduling, hotel and flight reservations including IOE scheduling etc. and communicates information accordingly to the flight attendants.
- Mentors training instructors, coaches and counsels initial trainees, assists with the review and evaluation of trainee performance, participates in the decision-making process regarding trainee progress. Communicates with the trainee their status in the program.
- Maintains proficiency as a flight attendant and an Air Transportation Supervisor (ground instructor, IOE and Check Flight Attendant categories).
- Serves as an IOE/check flight attendant on a semi-annual basis and as needed to ensure appropriately trained flight attendants are available for the operation.
- Provides support to the Inflight recruiting process and local domicile as needed.
- Schedules Inflight training instructors.
- Develops and maintains the flight attendant observation/checkride program.
- Administrates the Inflight company portal.
- Participates in the Emergency Response Program.
- Assists with Company CPR training initiatives.
- Works closely with the FAA to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
Required Competencies
- Judgement and initiative necessary in setting priorities, determining qualified applicants for vacancies, developing flight attendant training programs, and determining an individual’s successful completion of training programs.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
Required
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Good stand-up presentation skills
- Knowledge/experience in training or teaching
Preferred
- One to two years of flight attendant experience (must be qualified inflight) and two to three years as an inflight instructor.
