Job Description:
L3Harris/Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) is searching for talented Manufacturing Engineer to support production and integration processes / procedures at our Customer Integration Center (CIC). Manufacturing Engineer will focus on working with various stakeholders to support successful manufacturing of Infrastructure/Terminal products thus gaining hands-on experience and developing diverse skill-set.
Essential Functions:
- Provide support to Production operations in resolving issues related to product assembly, configuration, programming, testing, and staging.
- Support change management processes or procedures by taking appropriate action on Engineering Change Orders, Material Orders, and Routing assignments.
- Participate or contribute or lead continual improvement projects that help gain efficiency, costs savings, customer satisfaction at the same time supporting business needs / goals.
- Closely coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Quality, Engineering Design & Development, Supply Chain Management, Product Configuration Management, System Engineering in resolving product or program relevant technical issues.
- Provide support to Programs that have customer specific asset management requirements requiring information collection and visual identification.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead problem solving efforts using appropriate tools and involving stakeholders as necessary.
- Based on RF experience must be able to understand & troubleshoot changing system configurations.
- Provide support to Management in non-engineering tasks that support the business goals & objectives for the fiscal year.
- Provide support to New Product Introduction activities at Customer Integration Center.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (0 to 1 years of experience)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Exposure to Lean Philosophy
- Mechanical Assembly, Drafting & Modeling– experience with Torque Drivers, Jig & Fixture Design, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc.
- Experience with Electrical Standards / IPC-610 or 620
- Microsoft Office Suite
