The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:
RTX Global Government Relations is seeking a Summer Intern to support and advance the public policy and legislative objectives of the corporation as a leading commercial aerospace and defense provider of technologies. Candidates should have an interest in how corporations engage with U.S. government agencies and Congress about the impacts of regulations and legislation on issues involving national security, commercial aviation, and space. The selected candidate will gain first-hand experience of how U.S. policies and regulations at federal agencies and Congress directly impact and shape RTX business interests.
What You Will Do
- Work with the corporate Global Government Relations team to analyze and develop materials that support legislative and regulatory priorities.
- Attend and report on external events that relate to RTX’s policy objectives or impact RTX’s business activities, such as legislative hearings, trade association conferences, and roundtables.
- Undertake special projects assessing the impact of significant policy developments on RTX’s business.
- Assist with the preparation of briefing materials for senior executives or for meetings with senior government officials.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Government, or a related field and should not graduate prior August 2025. Please upload a copy of your academic transcripts with your application.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Prior experience or coursework in government relations, public policy, political science, or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing reports, briefings, or presentations for senior audiences.
- Demonstrated interest in U.S. national security, aerospace, defense, or commercial aviation sectors.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) to present findings effectively.

The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
