TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR DOD SKILLBRIDGE JOB OPPORTUNITES YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE U.S. MILITARY WITH 180 DAYS OF SERVICE OR FEWER REMAINING PRIOR TO YOUR DATE OF SEPARATION AND HAVE AT LEAST 180 CONTINUOUS DAYS OF ACTIVE SERVICE.
Job Description:
- Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the receiving, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
- Tracks all production and non-production material coming from the dock using a Product Tracking System.
- Verify and inspect for non-conforming material in accordance with L3Harris Inventory Management procedures.
- Safely handles, transfers, and transports chemicals in accordance with the current version of Hazardous Chemical Guidebook.
- Receives incoming materials, unpacks, and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
- Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
- Utilizes box truck to distribute materials to and from internal customer.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Ability to lift/move 40 lbs
- HS Diploma or GED
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
- Organizational skills.
- Prior experience with meeting goals / deadlines while being able to be flexible.
- Require the ability to push / pull using a bliss carts or pallets throughout the day.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, bend, and twist repeatedly throughout the day.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience using an MRP systems with MES capabilities.
- DoD Security Clearance
- Current CDL
