About your next challenge as Specialist, Accounting:
L3Harris MAPPS is looking for a Specialist, Accounting who will be responsible for the full accounting cycle and reporting of programs for our Germany and Malaysia Business Areas. The incumbent will work closely with the Program Managers and the functional teams in order to maintain the accuracy of the programs by preparing and presenting timely monthly financial statements and providing explanations on variances. The Specialist, Accounting is also responsible, in concert with respective Program Managers, for financial forecasts of key indicators such as Orders, Sales, Operating Income and Free Cash Flow (FCF). The ideal candidate will therefore need to be detail oriented, possess an analytical mind and be able to thrive in a fast pace environment in order to meet deadlines.
What you will do:
- Develop/review time-phased budgets after contract award;
- Track, control and analyze cost performance for programs;
- Report on on-going cost and schedule variances for program(s) in accordance with company policy;
- Prepare, analyze, review and track project profitability;
- Update and communicate performance data to division management team
- Review schedules/invoices and analyze program cash flow forecasts;
- Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities;
- Any other related duties.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance;
- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting/finance role;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Highly developed analytical mind;
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities;
- Attention to detail with strong accounting and finance skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Focused on teamwork and collaboration;
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both orally and in writing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
