Job Summary

The Senior Vacations Connectivity Consultant will act as a trusted advisor, diagnosing issues and addressing support inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. This role is responsible for managing relationships with lodging connectivity software providers, overseeing supplier onboarding and integration, and optimizing existing API connections. The Senior Vacations Connectivity Consultant is a strong communicator with a strategic mindset, who is ready to drive the future of Southwest.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize hotel supplier connectivity across key markets to drive operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
- Lead the strategic implementation of new supplier connections, including XML integrations, to enhance platform capabilities.
- Design and refine connectivity procedures with hotel suppliers, CRS, PMS, and Channel Managers to ensure seamless performance.
- Strengthen relationships with directly contracted hotels, optimizing connection quality and supplier engagement.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to suppliers, resolving connectivity challenges and enhancing partner experience.
- Drive collaboration on connectivity initiatives with regional teams and central technology to align with business goals.
- Proactively address and resolve connectivity challenges with cross-functional teams.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve technical issues during account activation to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Maintain strategic communication with suppliers throughout onboarding to foster strong partnerships.
- Support leadership with additional strategic initiatives as needed.
- Solution oriented; positively impacts the environment within direct team and department.
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of customer service best practices
- Knowledge of the travel industry and online travel platforms, including specific challenges and opportunities.
- Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools, and proficiency in relevant programming languages.
- Skilled in delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a genuine commitment to understanding and exceeding customer expectations.
- Skilled in organization and time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Skilled in analytics and problem solving, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data to identify issues, root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to work and drive to results independently.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and technologies, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Expert level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:
- Online Travel Industry Connectivity and Commercial functions
- Developing supplier strategies and long-term plans
- Travel and leisure industry
- External and internal partner relationship management
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive market salary from $122,200 per year to $135,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
