Position Summary
Thales is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to create and implement strategic programs that build on our heritage and reputation as a leader in cybersecurity. You’re passionate and knowledgeable about the cybersecurity landscape - from products to threats - and have a vision for how to create an impact within it. You’re skilled at taking complex, technical information and transforming it into impactful stories that pique the interest of the right audiences, have creative ideas, thrive on “out of the box” PR - beyond the usual “package and pitch” approach - and an impressive track record of success. You have a strong executive presence, and understand how to navigate complex and matrixed organizations, build bridges across functions and regions, and deftly manage agencies and resources.
You will be responsible for setting the pace and the external communications strategy in the U.S. to raise awareness and thought leadership about what we're doing, how we’re differentiated, and how we help customers defend against sophisticated cyber threats. You will support product launches, momentum activities, and thought leadership with differentiated messages that strengthen the brand, our leadership position, and help establish Thales as a cybersecurity player in the US market. You will drive impactful storytelling across broadcast, print, and online outlets, along with awards and speakers bureau programs. You will also be responsible for the Imperva Social Media Program, the Imperva Advocacy Program, and contribute content to the Thales Social Media Program.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Create a variety of content, such as: briefing documents, media pitches, press releases, fact sheets, contributed bylines, coverage reports/quarterly reporting, executive bios, awards entries, speaker abstracts, etc.
Design and implement annual PR plan and long-term strategies in partnership with the business and marketing leadership, using stand-alone and cross-industry storytelling that connects with customers and prospects
Maintain speaking and awards tracker(s); develop award submissions and speaker abstracts in partnership with Product Marketing and executives
Own the global employee advocacy program from onboarding Advocates to creating and refreshing content library with relevant owned, earned, and industry content
Prepare dynamic and creative social media-ready content that can be used to promote owned content, events, and press coverage
Create and maintain a library of content for the Social Media program (Imperva and Thales)
Minimum Qualifications
Must have 6 years’ minimum experience in cybersecurity (Application Security, Data Security, IAM)
Must have 8 - 10 years’ experience leading PR and Social Media, including an employee advocacy program
Direct experience managing a corporate social media program through a community management tool (e.g., Oktopost)
Intermediate working experience in Figma (i.e., creating banners, PDF carousels, graphics)
Ability to measure the effectiveness of communications campaigns, including: social media engagement, web referral traffic, sentiment analysis, share of voice, etc.
Experience working with Influencers through sponsored engagements (i.e., podcasts, Forbes Council)
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is US $111,000 – $159,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, other qualifications, and location.
