Key Responsibilities:
Entry Level Position: The CM Associate can learn and apply fundamental Configuration & Data Management concepts, processes, practices and procedures on technical assignments. The associate performs work that requires practical computer experience and enjoys learning new software in a technical environment. Work is performed under supervision. Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements and Configuration Management Standard EIA 649. Supports configuration management data input, management and tracking tasks. Creates bills of materials (parts lists), authorizes the release of approved drawings and engineering changes. Schedules and provide administrative assistance with meetings.
Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has the responsibility for communicating with all parties when necessary. Interprets, explains and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices.
Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results. Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts.
Essential Functions:
Will manage configuration data across all phases of Program Life Cycle using ERP/MRP, PDM/PLM, Document and Data management applications. Support Metric analysis for reporting at a program level as well as a department level. Must be read and interpret procedures required to meet the contractual requirements of the programs they are assigned. Create, Support and ensure CDRL’s are IAW Contract DID’s, SOW, SOR, and delivered on time. Must present yourself in a professional manner level skill set using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, PDF editors). Successfully support CM Audits.
Qualifications:
Requires broad theoretical job knowledge. Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 1 years of prior related experience.
Must possess one (1) or more of the following:
- Experience with the Microsoft Suite of business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.
- Familiar with PDF editors
- CostPoint or other ERP/PDM/PLM software experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to pass a government background check
Preferred Additional Skills:
SME level skill set for administering PDM/PLM, data management applications. ECAD/MCAD file management, Solid understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M -1994 or later). A CM certification from NDIA or CMII organization preferred. Previous experience with Defense Hardware/Software CM management required. Knowledge and understanding of MILITARY, DOD and INDUSTRY CMDM standards
