About the team you are joining
Reporting
to the Regional Vice-President, North Asia, in matrix to the Senior Vice-President,
People, Performance and Development, the incumbent will be responsible for
overseeing IATA’s human resources in the North Asia Region. The incumbent will
be a member of the North Asia Regional Leadership Team and will contribute to
the business objectives through the implementation of corporate and regional People,
Performance and Development (PPD) programmes and policies.
What your day would be like
▪ Actively participate in the North Asia Regional Leadership Team (RLT).
▪ Work effectively as a strategic business partner with the Regional Leadership Team by providing expert guidance on people, performance and development issues, including recruitment, compensation, rewards, policies, procedures, development and training, organiational change, performance management and employee engagement.
▪Implement and drive centrally developed strategies in the areas of learning & development, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and performance management.
▪ Foster a culture of inclusion, integrity, team spirit, strategic thinking, partnering and innovation, whilst acting with a simple human touch.
▪ Coach teams of professionals and champion the development of team capabilities and individual competencies through effective talent management and learning solutions.
▪ Maintain an effective talent acquisition process to attract the high calibre candidates.
▪ Build effective coaching capacity among people managers.
▪Support people managers in related matters, e.g. compliance with relevant labour legislation, working conditions, benefits management, etc.
▪Maintain effective relationships with other members of the leadership team, people managers, and external partners and service providers.
▪Develop and implement recommendations that continually generate improvements in the delivery of the region’s and IATA’s objectives.
▪Ensure the accurate handling and maintenance of all PPD administrative matters, including employee files, payroll matters, insurance matters, social security matters, work permits and the HR system, as well as the proper filing of documents with the relevant authorities, etc.
▪Carry-out any special projects as required by the Regional Vice-President, North Asia or the Senior Vice-President, People, Performance and Development.
We would love to hear from you if
▪ University degree in Business Administration, Law or a related field; a postgraduate degree and/or further qualifications in human resource management would be an advantage.
▪ At least 10 years of experience in human resources with a couple years at a managerial level.
▪ Equipped with a strong, applied knowledge of labour regulations, payroll matters and employee benefit requirements.
▪ Customer-oriented with outstanding leadership and team-building skills; broad international experience and a global mind-set.
▪ Exemplary communication skills, coupled with the proven ability to build and maintain effective business partner relationships and team spirit.
▪ Good PC skills, particularly MS Office applications.
▪ Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin; knowledge of other languages would prove beneficial.
