Key responsibilities:
• Carry out weekly inspections and all repairs on Airside Ground Support Equipment and vehicles (Diesel, Electric), Hydraulic equipment.
• equipment, in accordance with maintenance schedules
• Report and rectify defects found on Airside Ground Support Equipment and vehicles (Diesel, Electric), Hydraulic equipment.
• Complete service records on Maintenance system
• Assist in the maintenance of Airside Ground Support Equipment and vehicles (Diesel, Electric), Hydraulic equipment with other team members
• Liaise effectively with colleagues with regards to maintenance requests
• Assist in the maintenance of the GSE elements of EMA Hub to keep all Vehicles functional at all times.
• Support in responding to call out queries and carry out repairs as required.
• Liaise effectively with Colleagues with regards to maintenance requests.
• Assist in ensuring the mechanical components of the EMA Hub are functional and installed within best practice, H&S and regulatory guide lines.
You will be working on machinery such as Tugs, Hi Loaders, Belt loaders and ground power units
You’ll bring to this role:
• Experience maintaining Airport Ground Support Equipment/Plant Equipment/Forklift Trucks/Electric vehicles
• Trained Mechanic to at least City and Guild 381/382/383 Essential
qualifications in Heavy vehicle/plant equipment maintenance or equivalent qualifications
• Knowledge of hydraulics and of vehicle electrics
• Welding and Fabricating
• Use of Oxy/Acetylene equipment
• DIY skills preferred.
• Full driving licence and FLT licence preferable.
• Skilled with use of all power tools associated with mechanical maintenance.
• H&S awareness.
