Job Description:
As an Avionics Product Manager, you will be responsible for the development, management, and enhancement of avionics products within our organization in one of the following four portfolio areas: Surveillance, Dsiplays, Aftermarket or Recorders. You will play a critical role in driving product strategy, ensuring product success in the aviation industry, and meeting the needs of our customers. You will have Profit and Loss responsibility for your product family and lead a cross functional team to optimize business outcomes.
Essential Functions:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for avionics products, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor products. Use this information to make data-driven decisions.
- Product Development: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and manufacturing, to conceptualize, develop, and launch avionics products.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through design, manufacturing, testing, and maintenance.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, gathering feedback and requirements to improve existing products and inform future development.
- P&L Management: Manage the avionics product family, responsible for revenue, profit, cash flow and spending.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that avionics products meet regulatory standards, safety requirements, and quality benchmarks.
- Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing strategies, including product launches, promotional materials, and sales support.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize product development and operational risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with Market research and analysis, Product strategy and development, Risk assessment and management, Budget management and Quality assurance and compliance
- Technical knowledge in avionics
