Ryanair are currently recruiting for a
Design Manager to join the Digital Team of Europe’s Largest Airline Group
This is an exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years.
In this role, you will be responsible for line managing a team of product designers, ensuring the successful delivery of web and app projects. You will also collaborate closely with the Head of Product and Design and multiple stakeholders across the business to drive ideation and shape the future travel experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the design process for web and app projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery and strong communication with the business throughout.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align design efforts with business goals.
- Ideation and Strategy: Organise and facilitate workshops across the team and broader business to develop new ideas to enhance customer experience and meet business goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all design outputs meet the company’s standards and guidelines.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present design concepts and progress to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, integrating new techniques and tools into the design process.
Requirements
- Experience in a design management role preferred but not essential
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise and leadership skills.
- Excellent understanding of web and app design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and customer-centric design.
