About The Role & Team
As a
Technical Delivery Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of Border Control products, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with customer expectations. You will be accountable for managing cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, and mitigating risks to ensure project success. Reporting to the CTO/Digital Clearance Customer Journey Technical Lead, you will be a part of the Technology & Engineering Team responsible for developing innovative solutions for border control systems.
This role may require occasional travel to client sites and project locations, both domestically and internationally, to ensure alignment and effective communication with stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Border Control products & projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing issues or risks to keep the project on track.
- Foster a collaborative environment by coordinating cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and support staff.
- Implement and promote best practices in software development and Agile methodologies.
- Ensure thorough quality assurance processes are in place to meet product standards and customer expectations.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizing delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all project phases, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of growth, learning, and accountability.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in software development and delivery.
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with a solid understanding of product lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer sciences or engineering.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and strategically, balancing technical and business needs effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Experience with risk management and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with border control systems or related technologies is an advantage.
- Proficient in using project management tools and methodologies to track progress and deliverables.
- Strong organizational skills, with a focus on detail and results-driven outcomes.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team culture.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Experience in the travel or border management systems.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) or relevant technical areas.
