As an Aircraft Asset Manager, you will report to the Director of Asset Management and be responsible for optimising Aer Lingus maintenance operating costs, maximising availability of aircraft assets and managing aircraft transitions. Our Maintenance & Engineering department helps us to drive Aer Lingus’ ambition by ensuring that all aircraft are maintained in accordance with aviation regulations and manufacturer guidelines to guarantee the highest level of safety for passengers and crew.
Your responsibilities as an Aircraft Asset Manager will include:
Responsible for defining technical aircraft specifications, ensuring that regulatory and AOC requirements have been considered.
Ensure aircraft, either owned or leased, are delivered as per the specification previously agreeing.
Coordinate and oversight the different M&E departments involved in each aircraft delivery or redelivery, ensuring timely completion.
Manage external contractors for outsourced activities related to deliveries and redeliveries.
Input and negotiate technical requirements and obligations in leasing contracts in order to maximise the return on investment and minimise risks for Aer Lingus.
Maximise aircraft availability and optimise the aircraft lifecycle maintenance cost during their lifespan at Aer Lingus by working with the CAMO and OEMs.
Challenge status quo and propose innovative approaches which considers the circumstances of each aircraft, including age, fleet plans and lease obligations.
Provide technical input in the selection and induction of new aircraft, including fleet renewal.
Ensure asset management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in place and regularly monitored, and corrective interventions made when required.
Propose, develop and drive initiatives towards Aer Lingus Transformation agenda.
Promote and implement digitisation initiatives in asset management together with Technical Systems.
Challenge existing processes, propose and continuously update procedures, to reflect good practise, IOSA recommendations, and regulatory requirements.
Engage with IAG OpCos to identify and implement synergies opportunities.
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
A 3rd Level Engineering Degree with 5 year experience or B1/B2 Engineering License with 10 years relevant experience.
Analytical skills.
Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
Proven decision-making skills.
Change management skills.
Knowledge of AMOS.
Previous experience with Airbus fleets.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Eligible to live and work in the EU.
Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
Provide three verifiable references.
Able to pass a five year security background check.
