About the team you are joining
Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is
responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions
needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs. These include, without
being limited to:
- Managing
Data Sharing Programs (IDX, FDX, MCX and ADX).
- Supporting
OSS lines of business in their data, analysis, reporting, and dashboard
needs.
- Ensuring
the availability, reliability, and quality of the data through performance
tuning and continuous monitoring.
- Identifying
and driving process improvement opportunities to optimize performance of
data warehouse.
- Adhering
to data governance policies, quality standards and best practices.
What your day would be like
Reporting
to the Head of Data Quality & Analytics, your responsibilities will
encompass the implementation of data quality and classification standards, as
well as the maintenance of data and platform standards. This role involves
managing the GADM risk registry, coordinating ISO renewal activities, enhancing
the data quality pipeline, establishing processes for value-driven deliveries,
and spearheading an OSS data stewardship campaign for data cataloging and
classification.
- You are expected to oversee the GADM ISO renewal activities, ensuring the team’s adherence to ISO standards.
- Your role includes maintaining the Risk Registry. You will regularly collect operational risks from GADM team members, categorize them into different classes, and create action items for active risk tracking.
- You are responsible for establishing a process for value-driven delivery of analytics requests. This includes ensuring proper quality control checklists, logging procedures, maintenance routines, and information handling protocols.
- You will develop a process to engage other stakeholders, update them on the current status of their projects, and capture new requests through the Jira toolset.
- As the leader of the data cataloging campaign within your division, you will work with multiple data stewards and domain-specific subject matter experts (SMEs). You will prepare workflows and processes to ensure the effective adoption of the IATA data cataloging tool for enhanced data quality & enrichment.
- You will also be involved in Power BI Data model standardization, documentation process development for different business stakeholders.
We would love to hear from you if
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field
- You have over five years of experience working with big data technologies
- Experience with ISO standards and risk management for data projects
- Experience with data quality management, quality management system, data process handling and data catalog tools (data classification, stewardship campaign)
- Experience with task management, data management, documentation handling
- Experience with process management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, understand the product priorities, be able to see the big picture, strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (a must)
- Experience with aviation data (an asset)
