Job Summary
We are currently looking for a skilled Project Leader to join our team of project leaders, with the opportunity to lead key strategic projects across the PW, GE, Safran, and RR portfolios. This role offers growth potential, allowing you to take on various project leader assignments along the way.
The Project managers responsibilities include the set-up coordination and completion of the project on time, within budget and within scope.
The Project Manager oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project.
The Project Manager prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project, and ensure that documentation is according to standard.
Job Responsibilities
The assignment involves exploring alternative concepts for the casing & frames of aircraft engine, aiming to find innovative product solutions. This collaborative effort between GKN and OEM customers aims to uncover alternative ways of producing the Casing and Frame structures through a joint technology insertion program.
As the Project Leader for the development, you will be responsible for managing a re-design project through the product change management process. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely delivery of the project within the specified quality standards and budget in the project directive. Key to your role is the implementation of GKN's unique technologies and expertise, targeting strategic products aligning with GKN Engines growth plan. Your success as a project leader will contribute to the value creation for GKN and the OEM engine program, in which GKN is an engine share partner.
You lead, motivate and drive your global cross-functional team throughout design, manufacturing and procurement phase as well as insertion of new technologies from life cycle gate 0-7 and corresponding customer gates, while maintaining a business-oriented mindset. Your contribution will also be pivotal in strengthening GKN's collaboration with OEMs, fostering lasting technical relationships and establishing our reputation as an exceptional partner in the aerospace industry building our “best partners in the sky” footprint.

Key Accountabilities
Accountable for the project deliverables on-time, within scope, to budget and high quality on all output
Define project organization including work breakdown structure, assignment of project responsibilities and which authorization roles needed for project success.
Lead, coordinate, organize and motivate project team for the flawless execution of project
Proactively ensure resource availability and allocation
Create and maintain necessary project documentation and track progress. (e.g time plan, forecast, risk register, project benefit realization, etc)
Proactively execute Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management to control and mitigate the risk exposure and take advantage of opportunities
Ensure governance and quality adherence in accordance with the applicable GKN Aerospace process standards and policies
Inform, report and escalate to the project steering committee
Manage the relationship with peers, stakeholders, users and suppliers.
Remove hinders for the project team enabling flow and undertaking any other activity required to ensure successful delivery of the project.
Responsible for promoting an atmosphere in the team that champions both physical and mental health, safety and wellbeing.
