About The Role & Team
As a Product Owner in charge of the Flight Trajectory Optimization, you will be a key pillar in SITAβs contribution to a greener, more sustainable aviation through the enablement of flight and air traffic optimization. Reporting to the Head of E&T Application, the Product Owner, Flight Trajectory is overall responsible for the following key activities:
- Act as the Product Owner for the web services team, defining activities and priorities while ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
- Collaborate with the business side to understand the need and work on a technical strategy regarding the Flight Trajectory Optimisation.
- Discuss with the different Scrum Team to define together a winning strategy and tool integration to reach a reduction in carbon emissions from the aeronautical industry.
You will interact with the various functions within SITA FOR AIRCRAFT such as Engineering & Technology, Product, and other colleagues across the company, located in 20+ countries (Canada, United-States, France, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Spain...).
What You Will Do
- Own the backlog for the web services team and prioritize tasks in alignment with project goals.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the product-side lead to align technical and product strategies.
- Facilitate cross-team communication to ensure seamless integration of modules.
- Act as a key point of contact for team members and stakeholders, fostering strong connections.
- Provide ongoing support for the implementation of web services and the optimization system.
- Monitor and track project progress, delivering regular reports to stakeholders.
- Work within the Scrum framework to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Motivate and support the team, encouraging continuous improvement and excellence.
- Address and resolve problems swiftly, ensuring alignment across all teams involved.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, with proven expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong background in managing and prioritizing backlogs, defining user stories, and ensuring delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in the flight trajectory domain, including familiarity with trajectory optimization, navigation systems, or related products and services.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using Jira for project tracking and backlog management.
- Experience supporting the integration of multiple system modules.
- Familiarity with technical solution design and end-to-end system implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proven track record of managing stakeholder expectations and delivering on time and within scope.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with the aeronautical industry and flight tracking systems.
- Experience in project management, including budget and resource management.
- Understanding of Scrum Master activities and facilitation techniques.
