About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Head of CDS & Reseller Management, the Assistant Manager, CDS will be responsible for selling and promoting IATA products and services to defined customer categories and prospects, with a particular focus on two key product portfolios:
The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT)
The Travel Information Manual (TIM)/Timatic Web
The role is accountable for achieving sales (NBB) and revenue targets, as well as developing new business opportunities to grow the sales pipeline.
What your day would be like
- Execute sales activities for assigned Publication and Content product portfolios, in coordination with the Head of CDS & Reseller Management, to meet sales and revenue targets. This includes managing key customer accounts, securing renewals, and identifying up-selling and cross-selling opportunities. Adapt activities as needed in response to changing market conditions and evolving product portfolios.
- Perform sales-related functions as required, ensuring alignment with overall CDS strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing and other sales channels to convert leads during campaigns.
- Apply the chosen sales methodology (currently Sandler) and utilize corporate tools such as Salesforce, SAP, the Harling Portal, and others.
- Lead customer engagement and negotiations, as required, to secure and strengthen business relationships.
- Maintain timely and accurate reporting, ensuring the sales pipeline is up to date.
- Collaborate effectively with regional colleagues, head office Lines of Business (LOBs), Product Managers (PMs), and support functions.
- Work with internal teams (Production, Finance, Distribution) to ensure the end-to-end sales process is completed successfully—from order to delivery to cash collection.
- Provide feedback on pricing, product features, and functionalities to LOBs and PMs.
- Support Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Customer Service activities when needed.
- Monitor commercial debts and ensure targeted bad-debt levels are achieved.

- You have at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial or sales role, ideally with international exposure.
- You have a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a fast-paced, international environment.
- You are a proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, curiosity, and strong business sense.
- You excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- You are skilled in applying sales methodologies and eager to continuously develop your abilities.
- You have knowledge of the aviation industry, or a strong interest in learning about it.
- You are proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- You thrive working in hybrid or virtual team environments.
- You communicate clearly and effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
