Job Purpose
Support the airline’s fuel efficiency and environmental compliance programs by collecting, validating, and analysing operational fuel and emissions data. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of fuel-saving initiatives and ensure accurate reporting to meet regulatory requirements (ETS/CORSIA). Contribute to the airline’s sustainability goals through meticulous data management, cross-departmental coordination, and day-to-day operational support.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate fuel burn, emissions, and SAF-related data from internal and external sources
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel efficiency KPIs and dashboards.
- Support the analysis of fuel-saving initiatives (e.g., APU usage, taxi fuel, CI adherence, reduced flap landings)
- Assist in the preparation of ETS and CORSIA emissions reports under supervisor guidance.
- Maintain documentation for MRV processes, including data logs, monitoring plans, and verifier requests.
- Track SAF uplift documentation, certificates, and blending information.
- Coordinate with operations control, dispatch, and engineering to obtain missing or inconsistent data.
- Conduct routine checks of fuel-related systems and digital tools to ensure
data integrity. - Support benchmarking activities and comparisons with industry best practices.
- Assist in environmental and fuel-efficiency internal audits by preparing
evidence and data extracts. - Prepare internal briefings or summaries on fuel performance for relevant departments.
- Stay updated on operational procedures related to fuel usage and efficiency.
- Develop, update, and maintain dashboards in Tableau and/or Power BI to
visualize fuel performance, emissions data, and SAF usage.

- Reliable operational visibility and timely follow-up of fuel trends.
- Insightful performance assessments that help identify improvement areas.
- Correct pre-validated reporting packages ready for internal and external review.
- Enhanced understanding of improvement opportunities
- Smooth audit execution and strengthened compliance posture.
Main Relationships
IT Department: To coordinate the integration and maintenance of fuel systems and software.
Compliance and Safety: To ensure all projects and changes comply with regulatory standards and to conduct risk assessments.
Training Department: To coordinate the training of flight crews on new systems and procedures.
Ground Operations: For implementing and managing changes to operational procedures that impact ground services.
Maintenance Department: To ensure technical changes are accurately reflected in flight operations procedures.
Other Flight Operations Departments: For overall coordination and ensuring all operational aspects are covered.
Regulatory Bodies (AESA, IATA, IOSA): For obtaining necessary approvals and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
Suppliers/Providers: For managing relationships with vendors that supply fuel systems and services.
Other Airlines: For benchmarking and sharing best practices within the industry.
Industry Forums and Conferences: For staying updated on new technologies and industry trends.
Education
Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautical management, Industrial Engineer or any aviation/fuel-related studies.
In-depth understanding of flight operations systems and processes, as the candidate must be familiar with the technical and operational aspects of flight operations.
Familiarity with aviation regulations and compliance requirements, as knowledge of regulatory standards, such as those set by EU ETS, CORSIA, and Fit for 55.
Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Knowledge of MRV tools and EU registry platform and exposure to ESG frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP) is an asset.
Skilled in Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau is highly desirable.
Experience
1 year of relevant experience, ideally within flight operations or related field with focus in performance or fuel is preferred.
Experience in managing and coordinating large-scale projects within aviation or Fuel and gas emissions related contexts.
Proven ability to work with regulatory bodies and obtain necessary approvals (e.g., AESA, IATA).
Experience in digital transformation initiatives and implementing new technologies.
Experience tracking record of emissions reporting under EU ETS and/or SAF coordination.
