Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Associate / Assistant Manager – Reliability to support and enhance the reliability performance of the aircraft fleet. The role involves analysing defects, monitoring technical delays, supporting maintenance programs, and collaborating with internal teams and OEMs to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical capability, hands-on experience with reliability processes, and a solid understanding of aircraft systems, defect trends, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability Program Management
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Reliability Program.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all reliability databases and reporting systems.
- Track, analyse, and report defect trends at ATA chapter level and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Operational & Defect Analysis
- Review daily aircraft defects, technical delays, and Technical Dispatch Reliability performance.
- Analyse repetitive issues and coordinate with OEMs for detailed investigation.
- Identify measures to improve technical dispatch reliability and support initiatives that reduce operational disruptions.
Event Investigation & Maintenance Support
- Conduct event analysis, root cause investigations, and technical studies for system/component issues.
- Provide reliability inputs to the Systems and Components section of the Maintenance Program.
- Support periodic maintenance program reviews and updates based on reliability trends.
Reporting & Review Meetings
- Prepare and distribute engineering statistical reports, reliability summaries, and fleet performance reports.
- Support DGCA and internal reporting requirements.
- Participate in Reliability Review Meetings and share insights with functional leaders.
OEM & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with OEMs and vendors for component reliability enhancement.
- Highlight adverse trends, part failures, and strip reports for corrective actions.
- Identify rogue units and work with MCC/Planning teams to arrest and replace them.
Monitoring & Alert Management
- Monitor monthly alert value exceedances for ATA chapters.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide reliability guidance during AD Review Meetings and other technical forums.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance concepts.
- Experience with reliability analysis tools, defect monitoring, and reporting systems.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across technical and operational teams.
- Ability to interpret data trends, create actionable insights, and support decision-making.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, DGCA documentation, and OEM communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, AME, or related fields).
- 1–7 years of hands-on experience in aircraft reliability, technical services, or engineering analytics.
- Experience in analysing aircraft defects, ATA chapters, and fleet performance trends.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in airline engineering, MRO, or technical services roles.
- Knowledge of reliability tools, maintenance information systems, and aircraft data analysis.
- Experience interacting with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
