ResponsibilitiesThe Copywriter will craft and deliver compelling, on-brand messaging for Spirit Airlines’ in-house creative team, supporting a wide range of projects from concept to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring the voice, tone, and essence of Spirit’s marketing and communication materials consistently reflect the brand across all channels and touchpoints – including digital (email, social, display advertising, web), print, environmental signage, and communications. The Copywriter will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to develop creative solutions that meet business objectives while maintaining brand integrity. This position requires strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment to ensure efficiency, consistency, and timely delivery of all copy assets.
- Develop clear, compelling and original copy for multi-channel advertising campaigns (digital, print, broadcast and social)
- Collaborate with strategists to create cohesive brand storytelling.
- Write headlines, taglines, body copy, scripts and social captions aligned with brand identity.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, grammar, and consistency across touchpoints.
- Adapt messaging for different media formats, platforms and audiences
- Present concepts and copy to internal stake holders and partners with rationale.
- Develop headlines, taglines, scripts, and naming conventions that reflect Spirit’s brand voice and tone.
- Create engaging content for campaigns, product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel copywriting work.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO best practices, and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe InDesign a plus.
- Experience in an in-house creative team or agency environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner).
- Experience writing for travel, lifestyle, or consumer-facing brands.
- Understanding of UX writing and content strategy principles.
