Work for a leading nuclear A/E firm, as they continue to add staff due to extensive growth. Work from home, with about 30% travel (paid) for walkdowns and gathering field data. Long-term contract, $50-75/hr, based on experience.
The person hired into this role will be responsible for taking the structural engineers ideas and creating the designs needed, as well as putting together the work plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Structural Designer.
- Nuclear or fossil power generation design experience in the last 5 years.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings (new and revised) and piping isometrics.
- Experience with Navisworks 3-D metrology models.
- Background in design development for structural components (beams, columns, pipe supports, foundations).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
