Job Description
- Lead & develop pilots and shape Jetconnect operations across New Zealand
- Oversee Flight Crew Operations ensuring safety and service excellence
- Full time permanent position based in Auckland, New Zealand
The
Deputy Manager Flight Crew Operations oversees all Jetconnect pilots including managing the strategic and day to day operational and people elements of Jetconnect Flight Crew.
The role focuses on maintaining high standards and fostering a performance driven culture by building a high performing, engaged team. This role includes leading face to face communication with crew, promoting pilot development and leadership, and evaluating teams against performance metrics. Additionally, the role collaborates with the Manager Flight Crew Operations, to design and implement local projects that drive change and operational efficiency.
We’re looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about people and culture. In this role, you’ll drive an inclusive workplace, build a high-performing, customer-focused team, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across Base Operations. You’ll oversee operational performance and manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
As
Deputy Manager Flight Crew Operations, you’ll be the key link between Jetconnect and our pilots. You’ll provide support, feedback, and development opportunities, while fostering strong relationships built on trust. Your focus will be on increasing pilot engagement, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and creating an environment where our team can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of people leadership for Jetconnect pilots
- Managing flight crew in respect to leave and attendance management, scheduling, grievance management, aircrew licensing, promotion bids and award interpretation.
- Operational and Business Leadership and Improvement
- Safety leadership, exhibiting and ensuring a strong safety culture
- Leading communication strategies, ensuring appropriate and timely communication of critical business information, customer feedback and safety information for Jetconnect pilots
- Financial Success, Operational and Customer Excellence for Jetconnect pilots
- Overseeing resourcing requirements and managing change and transformation initiatives in both bases
- Managing the engagement and recognition strategy for Jetconnect pilots
- Maintaining superior industry, market and regulatory knowledge to ensure the best decisions are made to positively effect Jetconnect & the Client
- Developing a robust performance standards strategy which underpins a high performance culture
- Comply with Corporate and Divisional Service Standards
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace as well as participating in QF Safety Work groups and Forums.
