Our client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Online (SPO) Delivery Lead responsible for planning and executing enterprise-level SharePoint migrations, with strong emphasis on governance, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption.
Must Have skills
- SharePoint Online (SPO) site architecture, permissions, metadata, and modern site design
- Azure DevOps (ADO) for task and sprint management
- 5+ years experience delivering technology/digital workplace projects
- SharePoint migration experience – 3+ large migrations (100+ sites) including on-prem/DFS to SPO
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Knowledge of Records Management and Microsoft Purview
- PMP certification (or in progress)
- Experience with migration tools such as ShareGate
- Training development and facilitation
- Government Records Management Standards familiarity
- Agile methodology for project execution
- Change management and adoption planning
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed SharePoint migration plans, project schedules, and rollout strategies
- Establish standard processes for requirements gathering, content review, site delivery, training, and governance
- Define and enforce governance frameworks and manage project risks, budgets, and dependencies
- Create structured stakeholder engagement models and robust communication plans
- Manage SharePoint site migrations using Agile methodologies and ADO
- Oversee technical design, compliance, and implementation of M365 repositories
- Develop and execute change management and training programs
- Conduct workshops to address user pain points and drive continuous improvement
- Document lessons learned and contribute to best practices for future projects
Other Information
- 5+ years of relevant project management experience
- Experience delivering digital workplace or technology transformation projects
- Demonstrated leadership in large-scale SharePoint migrations
- Strong understanding of M365 environment and tools
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Exposure to compliance and retention strategies using Microsoft Purview
