What’s The Role All About?
The Revenue Management Specialist plays a key role in maximizing the company’s passenger revenues by optimizing the passenger mix on each flight. This involves regularly reviewing and analyzing the forecasting system's parameters to ensure demand forecast are accurate. The Specialist takes proactive corrective actions within the system to enhance forecast accuracy and identifies opportunities to refine revenue strategies. Additionally, they assess forward bookings and market conditions, offering recommendations based on available tools and data to drive performance improvements.
Who Are We Looking For?
- College or University Graduate (Preferably Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management or other technical/quantitative field)
- Exposure and experience in airline transportation, hotel or supply chain inventory, revenue management or pricing is preferred
- Must have working knowledge of data analytics/ business intelligence
- Familiarity with revenue management strategies, capacity control, booking systems, and inventory management systems is a plus
- Above excellent, mathematical and analytical skills, combined with innovative thinking and effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze and react to competitive pricing trends and market conditions thru inventory strategies and availability adjustments to maximize revenue performance
- Ability to synthesize data insights and communicate them effectively to various stakeholders across the organization
Major Responsibilities
- Manage seat availability across different fare classes to maximize revenue. Ensure the best inventory allocation across all booking platforms to maximize sales
- Review and adjust forecasts based on demand trends to improve revenue
- Monitor flight capacity and control overbooking to reduce empty seats and maximize sales
- Track competitors’ prices and market trends to adjust strategies and stay competitive
- Regularly update and adjust inventory management systems for better accuracy and performance
- Work with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align strategies and share insights
- Provide regular updates on inventory and revenue performance to management
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase revenue efficiency
