Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the Division Operation Manager is accountable for all operations within the Instrumentation Products Division (5 manufacturing locations, approximately 275 office and production personnel) and responsible for achieving the results identified by the corporate WIN Strategy and Division long term Strategy Deployment goals. Leads a team of empowered team members to continuously meet and exceed customer expectations. Provide leadership for all Division operating facilities. Coordinate cross-functional activities that may include any or all functional departments. This position is directly responsible for manufacturing operations and is expected to interact with current and prospective customers and distributors and all levels of division personnel.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:
Provides leadership for operation employees. Coordinates cross-functional activities that may include any or all of the following: Sales & Marketing, Design Engineering, Applications Engineering, Inventory Control and Production. Interacts with current and prospective customers, Sales Representatives & Distributors, all levels of the Division.
Responsibilities
- To profitably grow the business and achieve value stream, Division and Corporate goals
monthly, quarterly and annually. Works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services. - Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
- Leads strategy deployment for the operation concentrating on Lean Initiatives and asset management. Leads Manufacturing and process engineering functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
- Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully
embraced and implemented. - Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics.
- Develops a budget plan and manages operation within budget constraints.
- Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
- Represents the operation at the Value Stream and Division levels.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a technical or business discipline is required; MBA desirable.
- Minimum of five years of Operations experience with budgetary and P&L responsibility (e.g., Business Unit Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager).
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving /resolution skills and a team focus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees.

The Instrumentation Products Division provides highly engineered pressure and temperature process control instrumentation and systems. These range from compression tube fittings, cone and thread fittings, needle valves, ball valves, compact stream switching valves to modular process to instrument valve packages. These items are all developed and manufactured to increase our customer's up-time, maintain safety, improve production and quality control.
