Reports to: Portfolio Solutions Manager
This position sits within the Information Technology (IMT) Department Subsidiary Solution Centre, specifically
Cathay Dining, one of our subsidiaries, which drives Cathay’s inflight catering and other associated operations. The Subsidiary Solution Centre is committed to delivering innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance member engagement, streamline loyalty operations, and enable data-driven personalization throughout the customer lifecycle.
As the Project Specialist, you will manage IT projects to achieve goals within set timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates activities of IT projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters
- Analyse and review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, sourcing approach, delivery method, dependencies, procedures for accomplishing projects, negotiate staffing requirements to various project phases
- Cross-teams ad cross-department collaboration to drive technology innovation to achieve CPA's strategic plan and business objectives
- Collaborate with both internal and external resources to implement project management practice across all IT projects
- Adopt best practices, processes and methodologies of project management and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with Enterprise Quality Governance to define the quality assurance test plans that meet the company practices and standards
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee all aspects of contractual agreements to ensure timely and quality delivery of services and products
- Coordinate and monitor vendor performance, resolve issues, and facilitate effective communication between vendors and internal teams
- Negotiate with relevant parties with contract agreements and final accounts
- Communicate and escalate risks and issues clearly and concisely and to support management with the preparation of action plans
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience are essential
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience with at least 1 years in project management / coordination role
- Proven experience in coordinating project tasks with ability to multitask
- Knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, change management, infrastructure development management, vendor management, financial management
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- Project management related certification such as PMP, Agile and/or Scrum is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that gains understanding
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
