The role
As an Access Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be the first point of contact for all access into the Devonport Royal Dockyard Site.
Day-to-day, you’ll be managing access to Devonport Royal Dockyard for all visitors and employees.
- To provide a professional customer service and gateway to the Devonport site.
- To provide an effective and efficient counter service to ensure that site access is compliant with MOD contract requirements.
- Working in the back office processing site access applications for site traffic and access including VIP visits and renewal of passes.
- To review and identify improvements in processes with a view to continually improve the working environment, bringing in efficiencies and effective outputs that are value for money.
- Promote the team ethos in the reception centres.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. Monday – Thursday, 10:00 to 18:00 and Friday 13:00 to 18:00.
Essential experience of the Access Officer
- Good knowledge of IT systems
- Security background - Desirable
Qualifications for the Access Officer
- GCSE Maths and English - Desirable
- NVQ in Customer Services - Desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
