Surface Prep Technician – 2nd Shift

As the Surface Prep Technician – 2nd Shift for Rolls-Royce, you will be responsible for performing various manufacturing processes in one or more areas, including: grinding, gaging and buffing propulsion blades, preparing blades for final inspection, multiple levels of packaging for blades including preparing the packaging and crating. Support processes with loading and unloading components from machines, fixtures and lifting fixtures.

Key Accountabilities:
- Perform manufacturing processes such as cleaning propulsion hubs and internal components ready for inspection
- Perform packaging of completed assemblies and prepare equipment and/or tooling for Assemblers
- Ensure full utilization of all equipment whilst following health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Show demonstrable team working skills for achieving targets and assisting with continuous improvement projects
- Show ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
- Have no allergic reaction to chemicals or materials used in performing related tasks
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 2+ years prior experience in a lean/precision manufacturing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience working with precision measuring tools, including Micrometres, Indicators etc.
