Business Analysts are the problem solvers of the organisation and the key interface with our business. They are responsible for capturing business requirements within agreed timeframes, cost and quality parameters in collaboration with internal and third-party teams.
easyJet has an established marketing technology stack and is looking to accelerate its use across multiple omnichannel use cases throughout the customer journey. We are searching for the right business analyst to help translate these use cases into journeys and requirements to allow for effective prioritisation and delivery.
The role works closely with colleagues across technology, architecture, information security and change to analyse requests, define new solutions and processes and deliver new products and services to meet the needs of projects and programmes within the prioritised portfolio.
What You'll Be Doing
- Accountable for preparing, evaluating and documenting business requirements adhering to industry standards, best practices for Agile and Waterfall methods
- Works within their team and collaboratively with delivery, product and technical teams to review and help evaluate new work requests through the appropriate governance, evaluating changes to processes and systems, setting business expectations from the start
- Works with business stakeholders to define, challenge and document clear requirements using the appropriate techniques such as MoSCoW, interviews, analysis of current systems, workshops etc.
- Ensures that the full impact of new Build Briefs consider data dependencies, processes and systems by carrying out structured analysis including data-flow diagrams, data models, integration use cases etc
- Evaluate effort (time and cost) and carry out impact analysis of requested changes clearly identifying issues, risks, assumptions and dependencies
- Build relationships with Martech stakeholders to effectively manage relationship and set expectations
- Works with business areas, App Support, Data Management, InfoSec, SD&T and Architecture to define appropriate and compliant solution and processes to meet business requirements and scope where required
- Actively contribute during all agile ceremonies ensuring product requirements are understood during development cycles, close collaborating with product owners, testers and developers
- Accountable to regularly analyse the performance and effectiveness of the product in collaboration with product owners and service team raising new backlog items or supporting business case development
- Accountable to agree and produce prioritised backlogs items and providing close support to the definition of ‘ready to develop’, ensuring all backlog items are clearly communicated and documented to agreed standards, provide continued support until the ‘definition of done’
- Creates and manages documentation using standard templates, utilise available tools (JIRA, Confluence etc) and ensures collaborative working across the teams
- Works with Subject Matter Experts to ensure solution and ‘to be’ processes are developed and tested to the appropriate level Supports implementation of improvement to current systems and processes
What You'll Bring To The Team
- Methodical, logical and flexible in approach, you will have gained significant experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience of full delivery lifecycle as a Business Analyst including business case support, project initiation, requirement capture, scope and change management, development support, UAT, early life support and benefits realisation
- Demonstrate a 'product' mindset. Must have experience of Agile, actively contributes throughout the delivery and supports improving the process
- Customer Journey mapping – experience of mapping customer journeys and creation of service design blueprints.
- Demonstrate 'system analysis' skills required to review the system, e.g. API, Database, configuration file and some system functional logic working closely with developers
- Ability to create high quality documentation to agreed timelines and a lateral thinker about the impact of changes
- Documenting current and future business processes, data flow diagrams, data models and use cases.
- Documenting using epics, user-stories, narratives, wireframes, product backlog and other Agile style deliverables.
- Experience of working with MVT and approaches to test functionality in an online environment
- Prototyping solutions using appropriate tools (e.g. html, excel, pen and paper!)
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time within a business function (as defined by strategic priority)
- Project planning (identifying who needs to be involved, taking into account the availability of others, dependencies between tasks etc.)
- Consistently exhibits core Business Analysis competencies (Strategic thinker, trusted adviser, clear communicator, analytical thinker, problem solver and knowledge sharer) and skills (business and technical domain modelling, requirements elicitation, analysis, definition and management) in supporting the endorsement, discovery, design, build and delivery of business and technology solutions for projects.
- Data analysis - Familiarity with tools like Power BI, or Tableau, for dashboards and reporting, along with understanding of key digital and marketing metrics like conversion rates, attribution models, and A/B testing.
- Understanding of data governance & privacy regulations (GDPR) & marketing consent.
