Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a Customer Service Representative for a local municipality in Costa Mesa.Contract | Onsite | $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Summary: Our client is seeking a dependable, people-oriented professional who enjoys helping others, works well in a team setting, and can handle multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The Customer Service Representative will provide front-line support to customers by phone, email, and in person. This role handles a variety of service requests, assists with billing and payment inquiries, and ensures a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors at the front counter; answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to services, accounts, or billing through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Process payments received by mail, online, and in person; balance daily receipts and prepare bank deposits.
- Research and resolve customer concerns or account discrepancies with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain customer records and service requests in the billing or database system.
- Support field and administrative staff by providing account or service-related information.
- Explain district policies and procedures to customers in a courteous and clear manner.
- Perform general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of customer service and accounting experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, databases, spreadsheets).
