Satair is looking for aBusiness Analyst (Contract) to join our Commercial Analytics Teambased in Herndon, VA.
In this role you will drive back-end activities internally that supports the broader Commercial community to use big data for decision making and strategic purposes; contributing to business competitiveness and customer satisfaction

Your Challenges:
Operational Analytics: 70 %
Prepare business and pipeline reports for team and management meetings
Develop and maintain databases, including data model design, data collection and data cleaning
Apply basic coding to merge, compare, analyze data sets
Identify and interpret patterns and trends in data sets, providing analytical support and insights to the commercial team
Communications: 25 %
Maintain dialogue and work closely with other functions including Commercial & Support, Product Management and Operations teams to understand the business as well as developments and trends in the market
Providing data and administrative support to adhoc projects
Additional Responsibilities:

Required:
Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
0-2 years data analytics experience
Up to 5% Domestic Travel involved (to join sales team quarterly meetings, only if required)
Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
Analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
Fluency in English and ability to communicate clearly to stakeholders
Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office or other relevant tools used for data analytics and visualisation
Preferred:
Basic coding proficiency in Python, R etc
Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally
Understanding enterprise planning systems like SAP; advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: 60% onsite
Vision: Daily be able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: Daily able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
Carrying: Daily able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: Daily able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: Daily able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: Daily able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
Travel: Twice a year able to travel independently and at short notice.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization is required for this position.
This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
